Here is a typical home in Blyth directly across the street from the showsite. Many of the homes I saw thoughout Ontario had this attractive yellow/sand colored brick and not so much the traditional red brick we see in the states. I passed many very lovely homes where ever I drove, and everywhere yards were very neat and well kept.  Almost all yards were of nice size and quite a large number of homes seemed to have impressive acreage. Quite large farms seemed to be the order along the two lane country road from Goderich to Blyth.
